Features
A low-cost, strain gauge-based force sensor suitable for measuring muscle contractions or similar biomechanical forces in the 0–50g range, such as in isolated tissue-organ bath experiments used in teaching applications. The support rod can be adjusted to suit different micropositioners and manipulators.
The Force Sensor (50g) plugs into the PowerLab T1 or straight into a Windows or macOS® computer via USB connection, and can be used in Lt and Lt LabStation.
Applications of PowerLab Sensors Force (50g)
Used in animal physiology and pharmacology teaching labs involving small isolated-tissue force measurements, such as smooth or cardiac muscle contraction studies.
